Explorer Marine and sister company Cornwall Boat Services, are happy to provide storage and launch and recovery services for your Explorer RIB or any other boat, at our store near to Rock in Cornwall.

Our sister company - Mattos Services - has similar facilities near to Cullompton in Devon.

Storage charges are assessed based on the rectangular plan area of your boat and trailer.

For the 2022 / 2023 storage year we have three charge rates:

Fully enclosed inside storage at St Endellion is charged at £8.30 per square metre per month or £83.00 per square metre per year

Outside storage in the locked Central Compound under video surveillance is charged at £3.60 per square metre per month or £36.00 per sq. metre per year.

Outside storage in the customer accessible combination locked East Compound with limited distant video surveillance is charged at £2.70 per sq. metre per month or £27.00 per sq. metre per year.

Outside storage in the customer accessible un-locked West Compound with limited peripheral accessway video surveillance is charged at £2.70 per sq. metre per month or £27.00 per sq. metre per year.

For short term storage there is a minimum charge of £40.

The usual storage year starts on 1st November and finishes on 31st October, but you may choose any period that suits your plans.

If you are going to store your boat yourself, then the following points should be noted:

• Boats are best stored in a garage or barn covered by a light cotton dust sheet.

• Do measure your garage carefully since the usual SPORTS 575 RIB will NOT fit in a single garage, although it may be possible to deflate the tubes to allow it to pass through the doorway. Do re-inflate them for storage.

• A carport type structure will keep the sun and leaves etc away from the boat.

• If you must store your boat outside, wrap it in a tightly fitting cover or leave it uncovered; a loose blowing tarpaulin may rub and thus damage the tube fabric.
